Remote Counselling

Counselling From the Comfort of Your Own Home

Alleviate C&P offers a Person-Centred approach to counselling, focusing on relationships, starting with building a relationship of trust between counsellor and client. This approach to counselling can help alleviate emotional distress in many different forms, such as anxiety and depression, as well as working through bereavement, loss or relationship work to name but a few areas.

Remote counselling is a great option for those where travel is a barrier or who perhaps are not ready to engage with face to face counselling. For remote counselling, you can choose from traditional telephone calls or video calls via Microsoft Teams or Zoom. I am mindful that being at home might mean that there are others in your space during your therapy session, therefore I encourage you to create a quiet, therapeutic space for yourself where possible. I will also ask at the beginning of each remote session if you feel you have a reasonable amount of privacy to continue with the call.

Why Choose Alleviate?

The counselling service is provided by Bethan Creighton, a counsellor with over 2,000 hours experience across a wide variety of client needs and 13 years experience working in mental health. This extensive experience is accompanied by an Undergraduate Degree in Psychology and a Post Graduate Diploma and Master's Degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Your safety and confidentiality is of paramount importance. With remote sessions becoming the norm throughout the Covid-19 lockdowns, I quickly became equipped to ensure all remote sessions are conducted in complete privacy from my side, and ensuring acceptable levels of privacy on the clients' side.

Client Testimonials

  • A.S.

You have helped me to find a way through my grief in a way I never thought was possible, I can see that my life can go on without them whilst never forgetting them.

  • S.B.

Beth helped me to find workable solutions to life's problems that felt too big on my own, we have talked through so many things in my 8 weeks of therapy, it became about so much more than my illness. Thankyou Beth for being such an important part of my story, you've made it impossible to forget you.

  • R.A.

I have been keeping so much bottled up for many years that when I came to meet Beth it was like the floodgates opened. I talked and talked, and Beth waited for me to share what I wanted to. We have spent time since finding our way through the flood but I can see that the gates are being built differently this time.
